Remuneration Package
Base salary $90,177 – $137,861, plus leave loading and superannuation contribution. Total package up to $156,253.
Position Details
2 full‐time equivalent positions available (FTE up to 1.000 per role). School staff 229 students, 53% Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander. Inclusive, comprehensive secondary school on Wiradjuri lands.
Responsibilities
• Deliver curriculum for PD/Health/PE, Senior PD/Health/PE, or related disciplines (Community & Family Studies, Sport, Lifestyle and Recreation, Physical Activity and Sports Studies, Exploring Early Childhood/Child Studies).
• Participate in faculty planning, whole‐school programs, and develop positive relationships with students, staff and community.
• Apply culturally responsive teaching strategies for students from low socio‐economic backgrounds, Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander families, and EALD backgrounds.
• Use engaging, differentiated instruction to support diverse student abilities and nurture high‐expectation culture.
Qualifications
* Approval to teach PD/Health/PE (full NSW Department of Education approval required).
* Experience/ability to teach senior PD/Health/PE and/or related subjects.
* Strong communicative and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated sensitivity to cultural, wellbeing and learning needs of diverse student groups.
Conditions
• Relocation support payment of $5,000 to $8,000 for eligible applicants.
• Unconditional full approval to teach required; otherwise commence application process simultaneously.
