This role provides support to Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service’s cyber security operations by monitoring, analysing, and responding to network threats.
The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Network Security Analyst to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
* Monitor trusted threat intelligence sources to identify and analyse emerging vulnerabilities
* Prepare technical metric reports to track vulnerability trends and support cyber risk dashboard reporting
* Contribute to incident response efforts by supporting containment, mitigation, resolution, and recovery activities
* Communicate actionable threat intelligence insights and recommendations to relevant stakeholders
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
* While not mandatory, the following would be well regarded:
o Relevant tertiary qualification and/or recognised industry certifications e.g. CompTIA Security+, CISSP or offensive security qualifications
o High level understanding and working knowledge of Networks technical domains e.g. LAN, WLAN, Firewalls etc
o Experience in government or regulated industries, with an understanding of relevant policies and compliance requirements, particularly within a healthcare setting
o Experience in network security monitoring or incident response
o Experience in vulnerability management (including patching and patch management) and the use of technical vulnerability and network scanning and security tools
o Familiarity with threat intelligence platforms
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and respond to network threats effectively
* Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
* Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

* Base salary ranging from $125 002 - $133 898 per annum
