We are seeking passionate and dedicated support workers who dare to be bold and imaginative in providing meaningful support to individuals in their everyday lives. Uniting WA currently has multiple part-time positions available, with various shifts across the Perth Metro, from Secret Harbour to the Fremantle area.
About You
This role is for you because you can:
- Assist participants with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support participants with meal preparation and medication management.
- Assist participants to engage in social, recreational, and community activities.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and progress.
- Foster a positive and respectful relationship with participants, promoting their independence by providing person centred care.
- Collaborate with guardians, family members and relevant stakeholders to develop and implement care plans.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience working in the disability and mental health sector
- Certificate 3 or equivalent in Disability services
- Current Manual Handling certificate, Medication certificate, First Aid certificate and NDIS workers screen check
- WA driving licence
- Strong communication and time management skills
