Career development and mentoring: earning your Certificate III in Engineering: Mechanical Trade What's involved: We are currently seeking an enthusiastic candidate who is interested in completing training and education as an apprentice with a view to becoming a trade-qualified Fitter Machinist.
You will be learning alongside tradesmen and engineers to solve real problems in real time
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, your main responsibilities will include:Workshop based mechanical repairs, gearboxes, pumps, brakesDismantling, cleaning, assessing and measuring partsMachining - Lathe, Mill, SlotterCleaning of the workshopSome on site workWorkshop deliveries (local area)Assisting with maintaining workshop equipmentSand blasting and spray painting About you: To be considered for this position you will ideally have:A positive attitude to learn in the workplace,High level of mechanical aptitude,Ability to follow instructions and procedures, both written and verbal,Ability to operate equipment and systems,You must hold a current Drivers Licence.
