Position Overview
Provide high‐level nursing clinical leadership, management and governance within Carnarvon MPS, Exmouth MPS, Shark Bay, Coral Bay & Burringurrah Nursing Posts to ensure safe, effective and efficient service provision. Support the Operations Manager, Regional Director of Nursing & Midwifery and the Regional Executive Team in developing and implementing the strategic directions for the region, including progress of the health reform strategy, continuous quality improvement and improvement of patient safety.
Responsibilities
* Provide nursing clinical leadership and governance across the assigned posts.
* Support strategic planning, continuous quality improvement, and implementation of integrated clinical governance strategies.
* Ensure effective service provision in line with health reform strategy and local health needs.
Qualifications
* Eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
* Demonstrated record of achievement in leadership and organisational development at a nursing management level within a complex, dynamic health service environment.
* Demonstrated clinical skills for acute, emergency and residential care nursing practice environments.
* Demonstrated contemporary knowledge of professional issues and trends, with a focus on rural and remote service delivery and health reform.
* Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and ability to cultivate teamwork.
* Demonstrated analytical, financial, strategic management and project management skills.
* Experience in applying continuous quality improvement principles, including managing change and evaluating integrated clinical governance strategies.
* Current knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements in the areas of Equal Opportunity, Disability Services and Occupational Safety & Health.
* Eligible for or in possession of a current Class C or Class C‐A driver's licence, or other specialised licence class.
