Responsibilities
The CNC2 plays a critical role in delivering high‐quality, trauma‐informed forensic and clinical care to victim‐survivors of sexual assault. This position provides senior nursing leadership, ensures timely and safe forensic responses, supports clinical governance, and strengthens service pathways across SWSLHD. By maintaining expert practice and coordinating care, the CNC2 helps ensure the service meets demand, reduces delays, and delivers outcomes that make a meaningful difference to patient safety and wellbeing.

The ideal candidate is an experienced and confident senior nurse with advanced clinical and forensic skills, strong critical thinking, and the ability to lead in high‐pressure situations. You will bring expertise in trauma‐informed care, exceptional communication, and the capacity to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary and interagency teams. Your strengths include sound clinical judgement, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of care, evidence integrity, and service responsiveness. You are proactive, adaptable, and driven to improve outcomes for victim‐survivors through compassionate, expert nursing leadership.
Selection Criteria
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.
* Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA). At least 5 years fulltime equivalent post registration clinical experience including 3 years\' experience in the specialty and post graduate qualifications relevant to Sexual Health, Women\'s Health or Midwifery.
* Describe how you apply advanced clinical and trauma‐informed nursing practice when responding to acute sexual assault presentations.
* Explain how you have led or contributed to service improvement, clinical governance, or interagency collaboration in a complex healthcare environment.
* Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver\'s license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner\'s licenses are not permitted.
