Your New Role:
As a Retail Account Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving our client's sustainable growth within the retail channels in the Sydney market. You will oversee the territory from Wollongong to South West Sydney, ensuring the achievement of annual financial sales and profitability targets. Your responsibilities will include developing and managing store-specific business plans, facilitating effective channel communication, driving sales and marketing initiatives, expanding product assortments, executing training programs, implementing merchandising strategies, and providing business reports.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Ensure top-tier brand representation at the store level.
* Communicate and implement retail channel sales and marketing programs to business leads and floor sales staff.
* Manage a group of retail accounts, ensuring call cycles and account servicing align with sales targets.
* Set clear objectives for each sales call to ensure a focused and goal-oriented approach.
* Ensure all core range models are displayed and merchandised according to brand guidelines.
* Manage the product lifecycle, ensuring timely clearance of end-of-life models from retail stores.
* Effectively launch new products, ensuring they are displayed and merchandised correctly by the launch date.
* Oversee in-store display execution to provide an exceptional consumer experience.
* Develop and deliver tailored training programs to meet the needs of each store and floor salesperson, increasing sales.
* Promote engagement with the Learning platform as an additional training resource.
* Perform regular business reviews with business owners, franchisees, and store managers.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers at all levels within the business.
* Handle all retail store credit claims and product returns.
Key Performance Measures:
* Achievement of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales revenue targets.
* Achievement of profitability targets.
* Market share by category and subcategory.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
* At least 5 years of experience in a sales role.
* Professional, analytical, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships within the Sales, Marketing, Product, Finance, and Operations teams, with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts.
* Ability to analyze data to develop insights and growth plans.
* Problem-solving skills and the ability to implement solutions.
* Ability to work independently.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
