Position Description
This position is a specialist role that provides an effective clinical function. As a consequence, the position holder influences the practice of nursing in allocated clinical area/s, both within and external to their health service. The position provides a global perspective of capacity and access demands, assisting clinical areas to meet local capacity issues and human resource management out of hours. Areas of responsibility include leadership provision, clinical standard setting and monitoring, policy development, and change management. As a senior nurse with professional accountability to the Director of Nursing and Midwifery, the holder provides mentorship and role‐modeling for nurses and contributes to the advancement of the profession, in keeping with the vision and values for Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospital Group.
