Fortescue is seeking an experienced and motivated Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to join our Iron Bridge Process Plant team. This role is critical in leading a team of Mechanical Fitters and Boilermakers to ensure plant reliability, safe operations, and achievement of production targets.
Location: Iron Bridge - Fortescue's Iron Bridge project is located on the traditional lands of the Nyamal people
Roster: 7D7N14R FIFO ex Perth
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, develop, and motivate a high-performing team of mechanical tradespeople.
* Ensure plant availability by effectively managing breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and work plans.
* Oversee safety performance and compliance with statutory and company requirements.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Operations, Engineering, Electrical teams) and external vendors to achieve operational outcomes.
* Deliver effective weekly plans, shutdown compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Drive training, development, and engagement of team members to align with business objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
* Mechanical Trade qualification or Engineering degree (essential).
* Significant experience in fixed plant maintenance and supervision.
* Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage teams in high-performance environments.
* Sound knowledge of safety systems, incident investigation, and regulatory compliance.
* Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office, and computerized maintenance management systems.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
