Part Time, Ongoing Contract64 hours per fortnightNortheast Health Wangaratta (NHW) is the major health provider in the Central Hume region with an extensive range of acute, sub-acute, aged care and community services.We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Officer to join our team.In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll in line with Health Industry Awards, Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBAs), and NHW's internal policies and procedures.
You will work closely with managers, NHW leadership, and external bodies such as Centrelink, the ATO, Salary Packaging providers, and WorkCover to ensure all payroll operations run smoothly.
Your responsibilities will include providing expert advice on payroll matters, guiding staff on EBA entitlements, coordinating payroll reports, managing data entry and filing, troubleshooting issues, coding leave forms, and generating reports through Pay Global and RosterOn.If you are passionate about delivering high-quality payroll services in a healthcare setting, we would love to hear from you.Our Region:Wangaratta has a population of approximately 30,000 and our catchment serves a community of around 100 000 throughout the northeast.An easy 2 1/2 hours drive on the Hume freeway from Melbourne and less than an hour to Albury airport with direct flights to most of the large Australian cities.We have over 11 schools including private Catholic and Anglican schooling options for pre-year 12.Our region is a popular destination year-round.
