**About the role**
As a Library Assistant you will contribute towards a positive customer service experience by actively providing service delivery by working as team member, communicating effectively with customers and use every customer interaction as an opportunity to build positive connections with the City of Parramatta.
Council's library services are delivered across a network of 7 libraries including PHIVE the community, cultural and civic heart of Parramatta Square. Libraries are open across a wide spread of hours including 7- days a week at some sites.
**Daily you will**:
- provide exceptional customer service and build positive connections with the local community
- work closely with your library colleagues and implement improvements to enhance enjoyment of the library
**About You**
You'll have experience providing engaging customer service and enjoy engaging proactively with the community. In addition to your solutions-focussed approach, you'll bring a track record of delivering a range of customer experiences.
**Skills**
- Demonstrated Verbal communication, literacy, and numeracy skills.
- Demonstrated customer service skills, with exceptional ability to deliver memorable experiences.
- Proven ability to work co-operatively as part of the team in a customer service environment
- Well-developed PC literacy, including skills with mobile technologies and basic technology trouble shooting skills.
**What's on offer**
We are offering an attractive hourly rate of $33.47 plus 25% casual loading.
