Role Overview:
We are seeking a skilled professional to connect with young people, fostering a sense of belonging and improving their social and emotional well-being.
* Develop and implement educational programs in schools, ensuring effective planning, coordination, and delivery.
* Nurture meaningful relationships with students, community members, and school staff to create a supportive environment.
* Arrange transportation as needed, prioritizing the needs of students and the program.
* Mentor and support First Nation students aged 12-16, providing workshops, in-class tutoring, and outside assistance to help them achieve their goals.
* Deliver Life Skills and School Engagement activities, including cooking, creative arts, leadership, CV creation, goal setting, and job readiness training.
* Organize physical education activities, such as traditional games, to promote physical activity and teamwork.
* Foster cultural exchange opportunities between the community, the organization, and the school through facilitated community activities.
* Create personalized learning plans for NASCA students, tailoring their educational experience to meet their unique needs.
* Collaborate with school teams and occasionally work weekends and overnight to deliver residential programs and camps.
