Platform Architect (ServiceNow) - Ongoing/Full Time About the Department The role of the Department of Education is to support Victorians to build prosperous, socially engaged, happy and healthy lives. The Information Management and Technology Division guides the Departments' digital capability and is leading digital transformation for the Department including Victorian government schools. The Division architects, manages and supports the largest technology network in Victoria, supporting a user base of approximately 750,000 staff and students. IMTD provides innovation and leadership in the transformation and management of the Department's digital capability through the implementation of solutions on the department's cloud environment (IaaS), enterprise cloud platforms (PaaS) and software (SaaS), using agile practices with a focus on user experience, security, and integration. About the Role A fantastic ongoing opportunity is available for a Platform Architect (ServiceNow) to contribute to the overall success of the Digital Design & Innovation branch by: * Defining and maintaining the overall Platform Architecture (ServiceNow) - including core capabilities, data models, solution patterns and standards, and security controls/treatments. * Governing and overseeing the architecture and design for all solutions on ServiceNow, and ensures that all ServiceNow solutions are architected to align with business needs and agreed architecture standards/patterns and best practices. * Provides technical leadership and advice to program architects, solution architects, technical architects to ensure that solutions are scalable, consistent, extensible, operationally sustainable, and built with reusability in mind. Attributes * Leads complex projects with a clear vision, motivating teams and anticipating challenges. * Aligns business needs with technical solutions, balancing short-term and long-term goals. * Simplifies complex concepts for diverse stakeholders and promotes cross-department collaboration. * Continuously innovates and adapts to changing challenges. * Expert in ServiceNow architecture, integration, and IT best practices. * Drives continuous improvement, ensuring high standards in design, performance, and reliability. * Builds trust through transparent communication and meeting stakeholder expectations. * Produces clear documentation and fosters a learning culture within the team. * Remains focused under pressure, ensuring successful project delivery. * Encourages teamwork and supports team members' growth and collaboration. Desirable Qualifications and Experience * Tertiary qualifications or accreditations in a related discipline would be advantageous.
