Are you an experienced Senior Server Engineer (Windows/Microsoft) seeking an opportunity to support critical infrastructure within the Commonwealth government?

This role offers the chance to contribute to the department's ongoing support for Windows Server operating systems, troubleshooting, and escalation/major incident resolution within the Infrastructure Services team. You will be responsible for day-to-day operations and business as usual processes (BAU) and contributing to project work, playing a crucial role in maintaining critical government ICT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide ongoing support for Windows Server operating systems and associated technologies
* Conduct troubleshooting and escalation/major incident resolution activities
* Manage day-to-day operations and business as usual processes within Infrastructure Services
* Implement and maintain systems monitoring and patching using Microsoft System Centre products
* Apply cyber security tools and methodologies to ensure system integrity
* Contribute to the delivery of various ICT projects across the Division
Key Experience and Skills:
* Detailed Windows Server experience including Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, PKI, ADFS, File and Print, DFS and GPO with AGPM.
* Experience with systems monitoring and patching in Microsoft System Centre products and Intune (SCOM, SCCM/MECM)
* Understanding of cyber security tools including application whitelisting, host-based firewalls, vulnerability scanners and device control
* Experience managing Azure Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) servers and template deployment
