Fantastic opportunity for an APS 5 Communications Professional to join a civic based Federal Government Department in a diverse and rewarding role. This is initially a 6 month labour-hire contract, but our client is open to considering S26 temp or permanent transfers. Central Canberra location, with flexibility to work from home 2 days per week.
**Key duties**:
- Assist with the development and implementation of a suite of communication tools including templates, placemat and roadshow packages/ videos
- Under the direction of the Senior Communications member, facilitate the revision of intranet and website content
- Assist with internal communications including scheduling and management of section showcases, presentations, all-broader communications notifications
- As required, support Finance, People and Reporting section to plan and facilitate regional tours to maximise engagement and development opportunities.
- Update and sustain the Stakeholder and communication product register ensuring key stakeholders and communication products are recorded.
- Manage the Communication mailbox and action/respond to questions/request in a timely manner and delegate appropriately.
- Provide advice and assistance on ad-hoc queries about reporting and coordination activities, i.e assistance with visual aids, drafting of comms plans or other activities as directed.

Previous APS or government experience within a web or communications team or is highly desirable but not essential.
