**The opportunity**:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Regional Safety Advisor. This is a dynamic role, where you will generally be on the road and in our club network for 2 days a week and in our Sydney office for the remainder of the week. You will develop, implement, and maintain effective practices and systems to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all employees, contractors, and club members across our club portfolios in NSW, WA and Tasmania. Occasional interstate travel will be required.
This would suit someone who has worked in a similar role and is familiar with managing safety in environments where members of the general public and their safety are the main consideration such as retail or supermarkets.
**Key duties and responsibilities include**:
- Assist the National Safety Manager (ANZ) with the implementation, maintenance, and effectiveness of the FLG's Health and Safety Management System;
- Maintain incident and hazard reporting systems and ensure all incidents and hazards logged are investigated, assessed, controlled, and reviewed within the delegated timeframes;
- Conduct investigations of workplace incidents, injuries, and club safety and assist with recommendations and implementing actions to correct any issues;
- Provide training and development to team members at all levels to ensure compliance, engagement and to create a positive and proactive safety culture across the business;
- Perform the role of State Fire Safety Advisor ensuring implementation and review of emergency and fire safety plans are trained and in place within all clubs and studios;
- Complete audits and inspections in compliance with the agreed ANZ auditing program
To be successful in this role, you will...
- Hold a relevant qualification or 3+ years experience in HSE or related discipline;
- Holds a current Fire Safety Advisor qualification and current First Aid and CPR certificate;
- Multi-site experience, including implementation of WHS policies across a dispersed organisation;
- Knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, and control;
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice, and standards applicable to the workplace, including any regulations;
- Knowledge of current WHS legislation, as it applies to the Fitness industry;
- Understanding of Workers Compensation legislation.
