An opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified journalist to join ARN, one of Australia's leading entertainment companies.
Based at our newsroom in beachside Wollongong, the successful applicant will play an important role in our Local News First initiative, reporting on local issues and presenting news bulletins to a large audience.

What You'll Do:
Craft and deliver high-quality news stories for our Wollongong listeners (and, occasionally, other markets)
Conduct and edit interviews and present news bulletins on-air, bringing vital information directly to the community.
Write, edit and publish news stories for our station websites.
Collaborate with other talented journalists across Australia, contributing to our dynamic news coverage.
Report from the field and attend media conferences, doorstops, police incidents and other news events as required.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Strong on-air presentation and writing skills.
Tertiary qualification in journalism or communications.
Excellent interview and editing skills.
Solid understanding of media law, including defamation and contempt of court.
A passion for news and a good working knowledge of sport.
Experience in a commercial or community radio newsroom is a key advantage.
Collaborative mindset and ability to work with regional teams.
Available to commence mid-January ****.
