We currently have multiple positions available for Casual Bus Drivers at our Heatherbrae depot. We are looking for passionate people who enjoy driving and want to service their community, whilst delivering the best experience possible to our customers. Do you hold a medium rigid (MR) licence or above? We offer a 4 week paid driver training program that will build on your current heavy vehicle skills and knowledge to navigate the roads as a professional Bus Driver.

Pay and Hours
Rates: $41.01 per hour Weekday (shift loadings range from 15% to 100% depending on times of operation). Attendance allowance: $18.79 paid daily.
Eligibility to Apply
- A current and valid Medium Rigid or above driver’s licence
- A good driving history
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Willing to undergo a pre-employment medical check, criminal history check and working with children check
- Have a current NSW Driver Authority is highly desired (or be willing to obtain one)
Notes on Applicants
Suitable applicants that do not have the required licence and authority may be considered via the induction and training pathway; Busways may offer paid induction and mentor training and assistance with the Driver Authority process.

Application Information
Hours of work vary by depot. Casual drivers typically work a few hours in the morning and a few in the afternoon during the school term. In school holidays, work is limited.
