Role Overview
We are seeking passionate and dedicated support workers who dare to be bold and imaginative in providing meaningful support to individuals in their everyday lives. Uniting WA currently has multiple part-time positions available, with various shifts available cross the Perth Metro, from Secret Harbour to the Fremantle area.
About You
This role is for you because you can:
* Assist participants with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support participants with meal preparation and medication management.
* Assist participants to engage in social, recreational, and community activities.
* Maintain accurate records of client care and progress.
* Foster a positive and respectful relationship with participants, promoting their independence by providing person centred care.
* Collaborate with guardians, family members and relevant stakeholders to develop and implement care plans.
Successful candidates will have:
* Previous experience working in the disability and mental health sector
* Certificate 3 or equivalent in Disability services
* Current Manual Handling certificate, Medication certificate, First Aid certificate and NDIS workers screen check.
* WA driving licence
* Strong communication and time management skills
