About Us
Wollongong Hospital, located on Dharawal Country, is the Illawarra Shoalhaven's major referral and teaching hospital with more than 500 beds. It hosts the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre and offers a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
Role Overview
The Workforce Support Officer will deliver a high quality, customer-focused workforce/human resources service across hospital sites and clinical services. Key areas include recruitment and selection, onboarding, contract management, personnel administration (including records management) and advice on HR policy, awards, agreements, practice and legislation.
Responsibilities
• Work with Senior Medical Officer leaders to ensure efficient and compliant recruitment.
• Manage Junior and Senior Medical Officer recruitment, appointment, and ongoing management.
• Support the Medical Workforce Unit in providing client-focused services that enable high quality, safe and efficient health care.
Qualifications / Requirements
Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category B role.
