We're looking for Production Team Members to join our Spence Doors team in Cheltenham, VIC (close to Moorabbin, Oakleigh, Mentone, and Dandenong). Whether you've worked as a factory hand, machine operator, process worker, production operator, or you're looking for a fresh start, we'll provide training and support to help you succeed.
What You'll Do
You'll help manufacture high-quality timber and metal doors for commercial and residential projects. Your responsibilities include:
1. Assembling and adjusting components using hand and power tools
2. Operating machinery such as Beam Saws, CNC Routers, Edge Banders, Brake Presses, Turrets, and Laser Cutters
3. Fitting components accurately based on job orders
4. Reading and interpreting workshop drawings
5. Fabricating profiles using bending and cutting machines
6. Identifying material types
7. Working to hourly targets and KPIs
8. Conducting quality checks on your own work
9. Recording labour hours and material use
You'll also:
10. Report defective goods
11. Perform basic equipment maintenance
12. Keep your work area clean and safe
What We're Looking For
13. Experience in a workshop or manufacturing environment (factory, production, assembly, or fabrication)
14. Ability to read a tape measure, pressure gauge, level, and square
15. Comfortable using sheet metal machinery and power tools
16. Welding experience is a bonus
17. Good attention to detail and commitment to safety
18. Reliable, team player, and able to work independently
19. Willingness to follow WHS guidelines and wear PPE
