We specialise in legal services for individuals and small businesses. We focus on property law, conveyancing, leases, wills and estate planning, deceased estates, general commercial advice, and business transactions.
We are seeking a high performing and motivated Lawyer to join our team, working together to be the law firm of choice for clients in the Newcastle region.
Working in a small team, there are no office politics here. And you'll be in a super convenient location – cafes, restaurants, tram line, and the harbour on the doorstep.

Full time or part-time roles will also be considered for the right applicant.
Job tasks and responsibilities
As a Lawyer at Burgess Thomson, you will have the opportunity to work in the areas of Property Law & Conveyancing, Wills and Estates, along with Business and Commercial Law.

Skills and experience
* Lawyers from graduate level up to 10 years experience
* Experience with liaising with clients in a professional manner
* The highest ethical standards, honesty and understanding of confidentiality
* Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and document presentation
* Advanced Microsoft Word skills highly desirable
* Experience with LEAP Legal Software and PEXA highly desirable
