Position Information
Woonona Public School, located on Dharawal Country, was established in 1882 and has a long, proud history of serving and working with the local community. The current enrolment of 519 students work in 20 stage and grade-based classes.
The school's vision is to provide students with opportunities and skills that will allow them to exceed their potential, engage in reflective practice, build strength as a learner and promote individual social, emotional and academic growth. Data driven decision making and evidence based collaborative practice are the core of the school's priorities, with a team of highly dedicated, skilled and committed staff of early career and experienced teachers working collectively to build strong foundations for student success.

Selection Criteria
* Approval to teach Primary Library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education, with recent experience and knowledge of the expectations of a Teacher Librarian, including the capacity to coordinate whole school events and programs.
* Demonstrated creative, innovative, and flexible approach to managing a stimulating library environment to engage all students, enhance their learning experience, and promote a love of literature, with the ability to adapt and integrate effectively within existing school frameworks and library structures to support cohesive program delivery.
* Evidence of highly developed communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills with the ability to work as part of a collaborative team, enhance practice, and build positive and authentic relationships with students, staff, parents/carers, and the wider community.
* Willingness and experience in teaching across the school K-6, including in positions outside the library, demonstrating adaptability and a collaborative approach to meet the diverse needs of the school community.
Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
Special Notes
This is a permanent part-time position of 4 days per week, 0.800 FTE (full time equivalent)
