School Facilities Maintenance Position
The Job Purpose: To maintain a clean and safe school environment by performing general cleaning duties in designated areas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Clean and maintain assigned area, which may include classrooms, hallways, restrooms, locker rooms, office, and stairways.
* Remove debris, spills, and mop floors in designated areas regularly.
* Empty trash receptacles as needed in all designated areas.
* Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Working Relationships:
Maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc. Collect, consolidate, and separate recycling into proper receptacles. Clean and dust desks, chairs, tables furniture, fixtures, doors, sills, floors, ceiling, and walls. Polish hard surfaces, e.g. woodwork, stainless steel surfaces.
