Job description Who We Are
At A Better Tomorrow Australia, we are driven by purpose, not profit.
We walk alongside some of our community’s most vulnerable and resilient members, helping to navigate systems, reduce isolation, improve outcomes, and restore autonomy. We’re a small, values-led NDIS provider offering tailored, community-orientated support, specialising in Support Coordination, Psychosocial Recovery Coaching, NDIS plan reviews, report writing, and recovery planning.
We believe in a world that is fair, inclusive and just—and we work every day to create it.
The Role
We're looking for a Support Coordinator and/or Psychosocial Recovery Coach who is passionate about people, purpose, and progress. You’ll work one-on-one with NDIS Participants to:
* Provide strengths-based, recovery-orientated support
* Develop Recovery Plans and coordinate essential services
* Build capacity, connection, and confidence in Participants
* Advocate strongly for the rights and wishes of those you support
* Break down NDIS plans into achievable, digestible goals
* Write reports and attend NDIS Plan Reviews
* Navigate complex systems (NDIA, housing, justice, health, Centrelink)
* Help people live a life of their own choosing
Who We're Looking For
You might be a seasoned worker—or someone with deep lived experience. Maybe you're studying postgrad, returning to the workforce, or seeking better work/life balance. Either way, you believe in community and have a track record of compassion in action.
We're seeking someone who is:
* Purpose-driven, empathetic and values-aligned
* Honest, reliable, and a creative problem-solver
* Strong with time management and documentation
* A natural advocate and effective communicator
* Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
Experience in NDIS, mental health, or social services is welcome—but not essential. Training can be provided for the right person.
We strongly encourage applications from those with lived experience of mental health recovery, disability, LGBTQIA+ communities, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, CALD backgrounds, and mature-aged workers.
Skills & Qualifications (or Equivalent Life Experience)
* Relevant experience in mental health, disability or social work
* Understanding of NDIS and psychosocial disability (preferred, not essential)
* Ability to write reports and maintain clear case notes
* NDIS Worker Screening (or willing to obtain)
* Driver’s license + car with insurance
* Your own laptop or device
* Confidence working with diverse stakeholders and systems
What We Offer
* Flexible, remote-first role and Sandgate location
* Meaningful work – changing lives and shaping communities
* A small, supportive team where your voice matters
* Award wages (SCHADS) + Australian Superannuation Guarantee
* 15–20 hours/week initially, to increase to 38 hours per week if desired, with a view to permanent part/full time
* Ongoing learning and collaboration, not micromanagement
* Work in the regions you already love—North Brisbane, Redcliffe, Morayfield and surrounds
