Job description:
We are seeking a Project Manager to lead the delivery of the rail station transformation projects in central Queensland, encompassing detailed design development, full construction delivery and final implementation works across both sites. The Project Manager will hold single-point accountability for safety, commercial, financial, program and quality outcomes from mobilisation through to completion. This role presents an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer with strong client-facing experience, to step up into a Project Manager position to take ownership of a significant regional program of works. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end delivery of design development, construction and implementation phases, ensuring performance across HSE, commercial, program and quality targets. Manage staged construction within live operational environments, including shutdown coordination and critical path programming. Oversee procurement, subcontractor management, cost forecasting and risk mitigation to protect commercial performance. Drive a strong safety culture through visible leadership, compliance oversight and structured risk management processes. Provide clear direction and leadership to multidisciplinary and geographically dispersed teams to ensure alignment and accountability.
Profile description:
Tertiary qualified in Engineering, Construction Management or Project Management with experience delivering complex infrastructure projects. Proven ability to manage client relationships confidently and professionally in high-accountability environments. Strong commercial and financial acumen with exposure to contract management, forecasting and subcontract administration. Demonstrated leadership capability managing site teams and subcontractors across multiple locations. Ambitious, proactive and solutions-focused, ready to step up or further establish themselves in a Project Manager capacity.
