Reporting to the Senior Manager – Custody, in this role you will be responsible for leading and supporting the Custody team in delivering exceptional service to clients by ensuring efficient operations, effective people management, and seamless onboarding and offboarding of appointments. The Custody Manager will foster a high-performing team, maintain strong client relationships, and drive operational excellence to meet both business and regulatory requirements
About the Role
Lead 2 team members through effective people management, fostering a positive and high-performing work environment
Responsibility for high-volume workload distribution within the Custody team, ensuring efficient task management and operational effectiveness
Manage client relationships as it relates to day-to-day delivery of services, serving as a key point of escalation to ensure exceptional delivery and client satisfaction
Responsibility for full completion of the onboarding process for new appointments, ensuring seamless integration and compliance with regulatory and / or internal policies, across new and existing clients
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency and service quality
Support the administrative tasks within the Custody team, including invoices and notices
Deliver continuous improvement across team processes
Involvement in business projects.
About you
We’re looking for someone with :
Over 5 years of experience in the custody industry, with comprehensive knowledge of custody operations
MUST have previous experience working with Trustees and solid understanding of the regulatory, contractual, and operational aspects of Trustee governance
1-2 years of experience in people management, with ability to effectively lead and motivate team
Practical project management experience, demonstrating strong communication, governance, and stakeholder management skills
Solid understanding of the regulatory, contractual, and operational aspects of the custody business
Previous experience in end-to-end support of custody onboarding and offboarding
Active involvement in projects, policy, and procedure documentation related to custody
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organisational and time management abilities
High attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
