Occupational Therapist Role
The position of Occupational Therapist is available in a community-based setting. The successful candidate will provide high-quality occupational therapy services to clients and their families, ensuring optimal health outcomes.
About the Job
This role involves assessing clients in their homes, developing client-centered intervention plans, and working closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for providing a range of services, including entry, assessment, treatment planning, treatment implementation, evaluation, and separation of patients/clients in a multi-disciplinary setting.
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical reasoning skills, excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuing professional education.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality occupational therapy services to clients and their families
* Assess clients in their homes and develop client-centered intervention plans
* Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care
* Undertake designated administrative tasks necessary to support service delivery
Requirements
* Recognised Degree in Occupational Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer
* Demonstrated clinical experience in Adult and/or Paediatric services
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Evidence of knowledge and commitment to the application of quality improvement and evidence-based practice
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy in a range of programs
* Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional education
* Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2)
