Warehouse Operations Supervisor
The Warehouse Operations Supervisor will oversee the daily activities of warehouse personnel and ensure a high level of efficiency, productivity, and accuracy in receiving, identifying, dispatching, and storing goods. This role is responsible for managing stock levels, inventory controls, and cycle counts to maintain the highest level of stock accuracy.
* Manage and supervise warehouse operations, including supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees.
* Analyze and monitor warehouse-related data in SAP to optimize processes and improve customer satisfaction.
* Develop and implement strategies to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent receiving, identifying, dispatching, and assuring quality of goods.
* Oversee staff in productivity, manage stock, inventory controls, and cycle count to ensure stock accuracy at the highest level.
* Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short-term and long-term performance goals.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing daily operations of the warehouse, with 6 direct reports
* Analyzing, monitoring, and maintaining all warehouse-related data in SAP
* Ensuring the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction as the primary goal
* Achieving high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching, and assuring quality of goods
* Overseeing staff in productivity
* Managing stock, inventory controls, and cycle count to ensure stock accuracy at the highest level
* Developing warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, gate processes, and shipping
Requirements:
* Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar role in a spare parts environment
* Knowledge of warehousing operations and compliance; Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and RF scanners
* Continuous improvement knowledge and capability in problem-solving and project management
* Experience with SAP (Expert/Intermediate user)
* Current Forklift Licence
* High analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to demonstrate effective leadership, interpersonal, organisational, and planning skills
* High level of computer literacy, being proficient in both Microsoft Office Suite and Warehouse Management Systems (SAP)
