About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Surgical Veterinary Nurse to join our referral hospital team, available either part-time (3 days per week) or full-time (4 days per week), with just 1 weekend shift in 8.
Reporting to the Referral Nurse Team Leader and supported by our Senior Surgery Nurses, you’ll collaborate directly with our Specialist Surgeons, Surgical Registrars, Residents, and Interns to deliver outstanding patient care.
Your role will include:
- Monitoring anaesthesia and supporting advanced surgical procedures
- Assisting with imaging and diagnostic processes
- Preparing patients for theatre
- Providing ongoing care to hospitalised patients
About You
We’re looking for a compassionate and dedicated nurse who thrives in a fast-paced referral environment.
To be successful, you’ll bring:
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
- 3–5 years’ experience in referral surgery nursing, or similar advanced nursing role
- Strong clinical and patient care skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- A flexible, positive, and enthusiastic attitude
- A genuine passion for learning, professional growth, and upholding high standards of care
