Job Description
As a Lecturer of Master of Social Work (Qualifying), you will be responsible for the ongoing development, improvement, and delivery of the program, while ensuring compliance with the Higher Education Standards Framework. You will work to ensure that a high-quality, student-centric experience is provided. In this role, you will be expected to map to the units delivered in program. Staying abreast with current and emerging principles and best practices will play a key part to your success. Working from home during non-teaching hours is an option for this position.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Develop and conduct face to face teaching and student engagement sessions and learning materials.
* Develop learning materials including study guides, webinars, and assessment instructions for assigned subjects.
* Provide study assistance to students in the following modes: face-to-face, via the LMS, over the phone, or via email.
* Encourage the engagement of students in their studies.
* Marking student assessments in accordance with assessment and moderation policies.
* Identifying and liaising with students at risk and establishing individual learning plans as needed.
* Maintaining subject sites on the Learning Management System
Qualifications
* PhD in Social Work (completed or in progress) OR A Masters in Social Work with 5 years of experience in Teaching.
* Eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
* Demonstrated experience in the development of tertiary subject curricula and teaching materials.
* Demonstrated ability to coordinate and administer the successful delivery of tertiary subjects.
* High professional and ethical conduct, resilience, and a collaborative approach to both teaching and industry engagement.
* A strong understanding of social work theory and practice.
