Podiatry Opportunity
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team as a Podiatrist. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Director of Care, providing comprehensive podiatry services to residents in aged care facilities and independent living units.
The Podiatrist will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing interventions to improve mobility, function, and comfort. Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting thorough assessments and creating personalized treatment plans.
* Providing primary care podiatry, including dermatological care, wound and ulcer management, dressings, nail, and fracture care.
* Monitoring and assessing podiatry needs of residents, making adjustments to programs as required.
* Transporting residents safely to and from appointments, as directed by the physiotherapist.
* Delivering high-quality customer service to internal and external customers.
The ideal candidate will possess compassion, kindness, and empathy for the elderly and diverse individuals, with responsiveness to residents' needs and preferences.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A Bachelor or Postgraduate Degree in Podiatry or Podiatric Medicine.
* Current registration with AHPRA.
* Evidence-based practice in care delivery.
* Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
* Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development.
