Job Overview
The Lillywhite hotel is a family‑run hotel group with properties in Charters Towers, Mareeba and Townsville. We are recruiting trade‑qualified chefs or experienced cooks for our hotel kitchens, specifically the Townsville venue, The Riverview Tavern.
The position accommodates both casual and full‑time employment. Casual shifts are 3–4 days a week; full‑time shifts are 5 days a week, with split shifts that include nights, weekends and public holidays.
Qualifications
- Trade industry qualification in Commercial Cookery.
- If not, a minimum of 2–3 years of industry experience and trade qualification.
- Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or food handling certificate.
- Ability to work in and assist in all areas of the kitchen.
- Assist in the management of the hotel’s food safety control plan.
- Assist the Head Chef in the general day‑to‑day running of the kitchen.
- Ability to work under pressure.
