We have an opportunity for a Development Analyst to join our New Business team.
You will primarily support the Commercial & Mixed‐use New Business function (predominantly mixed‐use development commercial and living orientated developments). (Internal job title: Analyst, Development New Business and Structured Products.)
The Commercial & Mixed‐use New Business function is an integral part of Mirvac, tasked with replenishing Mirvac's large development pipeline and securing new opportunities and assisting with the transition of those projects in preparation for delivery.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Assess new opportunities in residential, office, Build to Rent and retail that fit within Mirvac's overarching strategy. Opportunities range from on‐market large government‐led bids to off‐market partnerships or direct approaches to existing landowners. Many opportunities are large mixed‐use developments comprising at least two different asset classes.
* Build and maintain financial models underpinning new business opportunities and investment strategies. This includes building development and investment models, running various scenarios and different transaction structures to test different strategies and producing succinct summaries of the results.
* Ensure that each financial model is logical and in line with industry practice and in accordance with Mirvac agreed metrics.
* Keep abreast of market developments, valuation assumptions and practices as well as key underwriting assumptions.
* Drive optimisation of the financial outcomes, assessing options and recommending strategies which underpin value and achieve a "highest and best use" analysis and best‐case scenarios.
* Understand cash and capital impacts of all major decisions and investments.
* Research and analyse data to support underlying assumptions.
* Prepare competitor analyses and market intelligence reports.
Your point of difference
You will be professionally qualified with demonstrated experience working as an Analyst within a development or investment environment. You will have a strong capability of building, amending and testing financial models and experience working with large datasets and preparing reports and presentations.
You will be a strong communicator, with well‐developed analytical and problem‐solving skills as well as a self‐motivated and inquisitive nature who thrives building and developing stakeholder relationships.
