A well-established investment and asset management firm is seeking an Assistant Company Secretary to support its real estate business. The organisation manages long-term, high-quality assets and operates across multiple jurisdictions, with a significant presence in Australia.
The role sits within a lean company secretarial function and works closely with senior stakeholders locally and offshore.
Responsibilities
The Role:
* Delivering corporate governance and company secretarial support across the Australian real estate portfolio
* Drafting and circulating board and shareholder resolutions
* Maintaining corporate registers and statutory records
* Coordinating board and committee meetings, including preparation of agendas and board papers
* Preparing draft minutes in a timely manner
* Managing statutory and regulatory compliance obligations
* Advising on governance requirements for projects and transactions
* Supporting continuous improvement of internal governance and approval processes
* Maintaining corporate structure charts
* Responding to ad hoc requests from legal, tax and finance teams
* Assisting with additional governance-related projects as required
Qualifications
* Minimum 4 years' experience in a company secretarial or corporate governance role
* Experience supporting complex corporate structures and board processes
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Sydney-based
Remuneration is commensurate with experience.
