* FIFO from Perth to various Rio Tinto sites across the Pilbara Region

About the role

An opportunity within Asset Management is now available for an Engineer Structure – Regional. This role will be offered FIFO from Perth to various regional Rio Tinto sites within the Pilbara region.

This role will provide technical assistance, support and expert advice in their discipline to optimise asset performance with a focus on asset integrity.

Reporting to the Principal Civil & Structural Engineer, your focus and responsibilities will include:

* Conduct reviews against civil/structural engineering standards to support project development and delivery

* Conduct engineering analysis to back up recommendations made by specialist or make recommendations

* Adhere to the Structural Integrity program processes

* Improvement of Structural Integrity program through review and update of tactics, scopes and inclusion of additional asset types.

* Reviewing Management of Change, changes to maintenance systems and tactics

* Coaching, mentoring and training to build capability within Sites and other team members

* Conduct quality assurance checks for structural remediation activities

* Identify and develop scopes of work for structural issues across site

* Ensure structural remediation activities are captured in the Maintenance Shut Forum

* Ensure asset performance and integrity risks are captured in the site's risk management system

* Represent SI Program on site and contribute to inspection readiness

* Review and coordinate containment of defects to ensure safety to personnel, plant and equipment

* Review and coordinate remediation works for identified defects

* Review repair methodologies prior to implementation upon request

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

* Professional acumen with knowledge and experience in own technical or professional discipline

* Related engineering degree

* Ability to problem solve using largely defined procedures and solutions

* Communication skill to present discipline subject matter to non-specialist stakeholders

* Coaching and mentoring team members and stakeholders

* Proficient in the use of various maintenance management systems and tools, including SAP, Archer, MSDT, MSF

* Contractor Management Awareness

* Current 'C' Class Driver's License (Manual)

* A demonstrated commitment to the safety of yourself and your team

Where you will be working

This role will be offered FIFO from Perth to various Rio Tinto sites based in the heart of the Pilbara Region of Western Australia. The roster will be offered on a 5/2 – 4/3 days only roster.
