Position: Night Shift Maintenance Fitter Location: Melbourne Airport Shift Hours: 19.00pm - 07.00am Sunday,Monday,Tuesday optional Sat also Compensation: Competitive salary benefits package Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on food production machinery and equipment Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production operations Conduct preventative maintenance checks and inspections to identify potential issues before they become major problems Collaborate with the production team to address equipment-related concerns and improve overall efficiency Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance tasks, and parts inventory Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in all aspects of work Support emergency breakdowns and resolve issues quickly to keep production on track Requirements: Proven experience as a Maintenance Fitter, ideally within a food production or manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems Ability to diagnose and repair a wide range of production machinery (conveyor belts, mixers, ovens, etc.) Comfortable working with tools and equipment, and performing precision tasks Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Must be able to work the night shift and be flexible to handle any emergencies or unscheduled breakdowns Health and safety knowledge, including safe handling of equipment and parts Why Join Us?
