Apply your commercial property expertise to provide leadership to the NT Property Management team delivering the NT Government’s property needs.
The Department of Corporate and Digital Development (DCDD) is a comprehensive, sophisticated central corporate services agency that undertakes a unified enterprise-wide approach to delivering corporate and digital services to NT Government agencies.
Within DCDD, the NT Property Management team is responsible for managing commercial leased property services on behalf of a wide range of NT Government client agencies across the Territory.
As the Director Commercial Leasing, you will play a pivotal role in leading a property team to expertly manage a portfolio of leased commercial property in a shared corporate services model. This involves entering into and managing commercial leases, including exercising rights and options under the terms of the lease, renewing and managing all obligations, and delivering expert advice and recommendations on commercial property policies, strategy and leasing matters. In addition, you will contribute to the development and implementation of business plans and reporting to ensure that NT Property Management activities are aligned with the Departments corporate objectives.
To be successful, you will bring high-level leadership and team building skills along with a strong understanding of the current and emerging commercial property markets, sound knowledge of procurement and commercial property management practices, real estate law, valuation processes, and demonstrated experience in drafting and interpreting contractual documentation.
