Family Support Specialist – DFV Refuges
In this permanent part-time position (.9 FTE at 9 days per fortnight/7.6 Hrs Monday to Friday during normal business hours with one day off each fortnight), you'll work as part of our DFV team in Toowoomba to help us create lasting outcomes for women and children affected by domestic and family violence.
Responsibilities
* Providing immediate support to women and children impacted by DFV
* Conducting risk assessments where DFV is identified
* Developing strong networks and referral pathways to support desired outcomes
* Collecting and recording information for the purpose of accountability, evaluation, and reporting
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience working with women, children and young people who have experienced domestic and family violence
* Knowledge of best practice, professional standards, and relevant research in the field of domestic and family violence
* Demonstrated understanding of the ways in which cultural contexts influence practice approaches
* Current valid driver's licence
* A Bachelor of Social Work, Psychology or relevant Human Services Qualification and/or significant experience working in a similar service
