Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a proven Civil Engineer to join our Civil team in Sydney. This opportunity provides exposure to a diverse portfolio of civil engineering projects in the defence sector and the ability to engage in a variety of tasks. You will be supported by strong mentoring and opportunities for professional development including obtaining your CPEng.
How you'll make a difference
* Planning and design of civil engineering infrastructure including roads & transport, stormwater assets (quantity and quality), services/utilities, earthworks
* Work on defence projects from technical specifications to reporting, quantity and cost estimates.
* Support the preparation of tenders and proposals.
* Collaborate with a large number of professionals across a range of teams and geographies, build relationships with internal and external clients across multiple sectors, ensuring client service satisfaction.
Qualifications
* Bachelor of Civil Engineering & ideally, 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
* Excellent communication skills and high quality technical and non-technical report writing.
* Familiar with design standards and practices for civil infrastructure design (e.g., QUDM, Road Drainage Manual & Austroads).
* Any exposure to Department of Defence projects is highly regarded.
* Process-driven and detail-oriented, with a clear focus on quality, checking and well-structured deliverables.
* A collaborative mindset, comfortable working in multidisciplinary teams and asking the right questions early.
