Launch Recruitment is exclusively supporting a global leading Financial Services organisation on the lookout for a Senior Private Cloud Systems Engineer to join on an initial 9-month contract basis.
This role will be responsible for the end-to-end ownership and delivery of both private and public cloud infrastructure systems and services.
You'll contribute to the design, implementation, and management of complex cloud-based systems in an enterprise setting.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day technical operations of cloud infrastructure systems and services.
Provide 3rd Level Technical Support change requests for virtual desktop and server environments both on premise and in the public cloud.
Configure, deploy, and support Windows servers, AD, Microsoft 365, VMware platform, and HCI infrastructure, for on-premise and public cloud environment Remediate Windows OS security vulnerabilities by proactive patch management in accordance with agreed service levels.
Build and maintain regional cloud infrastructure services Provide support and expertise to troubleshoot issues on supported platforms or hosted workloads Manage and contribute to documentation of all system, application, and security changes, upgrades and new implementations.
Qualifications and Experience required – 5+ years of senior role experience for managing cloud technologies and infrastructure systems in a large-scale enterprise environment.
Expert level knowledge in various areas of MS Windows servers & AD platforms Proficient knowledge of Windows, AD environments, VMware, Azure and AWS cloud (certifications preferred) Strong experience supporting Citrix & Microsoft W365 Virtual Desktop infrastructure Sound knowledge of virtualisation technologies e.g. Vmware, Hyper-V, VSAN & Kubernetes Hardware platforms e.g. Powerflex, VxRail, HCI, DELL & HPE Blade Servers Configuration and scripting tools e.g. Powershell, MS Batch, Bash, Terraform, Cloudformation Experience managing a diverse range of Cloud Infrastructure in enterprise level environments Excellent communication skills to provide the highest level of service to internal teams, external partners and when presenting/documenting findings This is an opportunity to join an organisation that foster a collaborate and hard working professional environment.
