Your role
The main purpose of this role would be to aid the project managers and engineers with a variety of design tasks on projects.
Objectives:
* Supporting project teams with analysis, design, and reporting tasks.
* Developing and maintaining competencies consistent with the practice of a professional engineer.
* Ensuring that all work is undertaken in accordance with the appropriate legislation, corporate requirements, and systems.
Key responsibilities include:
* Technical reporting.
* Coordinating with other engineering disciplines and actively participating in interdisciplinary workshops as required.
* Liaison with Consultants and Contractors as required to manage projects.
* Assisting with marketing and promotion of BG&E including submission of proposals.
* Preparation of construction documentation and specifications.
* Construction support including response to RFIs and attending meetings.
* Writing proposals and reports.
* Directly contacting clients.
* Visiting sites for inspections.
* Scoping of projects.
* Project Engineering and Project Management activities.
* Buildings-based project work.

About you
To succeed in this position, you'll bring experience such as:
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
* Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Working knowledge of the MS Office suite of tools is essential, experience using AutoCAD or similar modelling tools -beneficial.
* A strong desire to learn and solve problems in a team context.
* The ability to multi-task and self-prioritize workload.
* High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
