An exciting opportunity exists to provide high-level administrative support to a centre.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving office systems and policies to ensure efficient operation.
Liaising with internal staff, consultants, and external research partners, as well as government and community stakeholders, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participants, researchers, and organisations.
About the Role
The key responsibilities of this role include providing executive support to the centre director.
* Provide comprehensive administrative support to centre staff and consultants, covering personnel, financial, and research activities.
* Respond to complex enquiries using judgement and initiative.
* Liaise with internal and external centre stakeholders across various locations and time zones.
* Contribute to and manage applications, presentations, and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
* Maintain and update websites and social media accounts to enhance centre effectiveness.
* Coordinate events for up to 150 people.
* Provide stakeholder/visitor service, including travel and accommodation booking.
* Perform other duties as directed.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, applicants must possess relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent competency.
* Demonstrated experience providing high-level administrative and executive support, managing complex calendars, scheduling meetings, and handling confidential information.
* Proficiency in a range of computing skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email, video conferencing, and content management systems.
* Highly developed organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
* Able to work independently, show initiative, and work productively as part of a team.
* Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
* Knowledge of university policies, procedures, and structures is desirable.
* Experience with financial software (PeopleSoft), travel booking/expense management software (Concur), web content management software is desirable.
* Must have full work rights and be willing to undergo an Australian police check.
