We are seeking a skilled Operations Manager to join our team. As the key player in this role, you will oversee inspection and testing activities, ensuring they align with contractual requirements and regulatory standards.
This position involves driving business growth by identifying new opportunities for our inspection services and developing our market offering. Key responsibilities include:
* Conducting engineering inspections for industrial equipment;
* Performing QA/QC surveillance inspections;
* Carrying out welding inspections;
* Inspecting pressure vessels and pipes;
* Verifying design specifications;
* Completing pre- and post-shipment inspections;
* Conducting cargo surveys;
* Ensuring all tasks are completed on time and to meet client expectations.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering (preferred);
* Previous experience working in a similar role with technical and professional knowledge in inspection services;
* Knowledge of statutory inspection and advanced NDT techniques;
* Awareness of AS/EC standards;
* AICIP certification (preferred) or combination of API510 + API 570;
* Welding inspector CSWIP 3.1 and above;
* Basic NDT qualifications (MT, PT, UT) ASNT/PCN Level 2 or above;
* Level 2 in Eddy Current.
In addition to the required skills, having certifications such as API 571- Corrosion and Materials, API 577-Welding Inspection and Metallurgy, Level 2 in RT, ISO 7507-4 Vertical Storage Tank Calibration, API 653 - Inspection of vertical Storage Tanks, RMS - UT Scanner, Advanced NDT: PAUT, and Theodolite Laser Experience would be advantageous.
