The Planning and Urban Policy division is seeking applications for the position of Planning Officer within the Strategic Planning and Policy Branch. The Strategic Planning and Policy Branch is a dynamic multi-disciplinary team delivering short, medium and long-term strategic planning and policy projects, to facilitate integrated planning and land use and built form that is well planned, sustainable, and responsive to the strategic directions set by the ACT Government. As a Planning Officer you will play a key part in supporting the delivery of strategic planning and policy projects that support the implementation of the Ministers Statement of Planning Priorities 2025-2028. Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately until 30 June 2026 with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency. A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. This position is located in a workplace designated for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.
