Project Engineer Position
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join their Brisbane team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in the successful delivery of a landmark project, working closely with the Site Manager and Project Manager.
About the Role
* Provide technical advice and engineering solutions on site.
* Coordinate, supervise, and manage subcontractors and suppliers.
* Implement and monitor quality control systems to ensure work meets specifications.
* Monitor and update the project programme, ensuring key milestones are met.
* Manage the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery.
* Prepare and maintain project documentation, including RFI's, site instructions, meeting minutes, and progress reports.
* Champion site safety, ensuring compliance with all WHS regulations.
Requirements
* A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related discipline.
* Proven experience as a Project Engineer, preferably within the Australian construction industry.
* Prior experience with refurbishment, health, or complex live environment projects is highly regarded.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
* A strong understanding of construction methodology, WHS, and quality management systems.
* A proactive, problem-solving approach and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
