About the Role

* Develop and implement innovative mechanical engineering strategies to enhance the performance, reliability, and efficiency of water and wastewater systems.
* Lead and/or support the design and analysis of mechanical systems related to water and treatment facilities and systems, including pumps, valves, piping systems, and mechanical equipment associated with treatment processes.
* Ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulatory frameworks and standards in all mechanical designs and applications.
* Collaborate with civil, electrical, and process engineers to ensure cohesive project delivery and coordination across multiple disciplines.

Requirements

* Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering specifically related to municipal water and wastewater projects, with a proven track record in the design and delivery of mechanical systems.
* In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, fluid dynamics, and mechanical component selection for water and wastewater applications.
* Familiarity with applicable industry standards and regulations governing municipal water and wastewater systems.
* Chartered Professional Engineer status is desirable or a commitment to achieving this recognition.
