About the Opportunity
Rotageek, an ELMO Software company, is seeking a talented Technical Team Lead to join a newly created team in Sydney localising an established AI-driven rostering & scheduling platform. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to lead and contribute to our dynamic team. As the Technical Team Lead, you will be responsible for:
* Leading a team of engineers and providing technical guidance and mentorship
* Contributing to the development and implementation of technical solutions
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and deliver high-quality software products
* Managing project timelines and ensuring the successful delivery of technical projects
* Identifying areas for process improvement and implementing best practices within the team
* Participating in recruitment activities such as interviewing and onboarding new team members
* Ensuring adherence to coding standards, software development methodologies, and best practices
* Providing technical expertise in troubleshooting and issue resolution
* Communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization

Requirements
* Have a strong knowledge of ASP.NET and C# (.NET Framework or .NET Core), with experience designing and building backend services and APIs using both REST and GraphQL.
* Have a good understanding of back-end architecture, including database technologies (SQL/NoSQL and ORM), and service-oriented or microservices architecture.
* Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and experience with CI/CD tools such as TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, or GitHub Actions.
* Be comfortable working across all areas of the software, including those you are new to, while maintaining depth within your primary area of focus.
* Be confident managing competing priorities, troubleshooting issues under pressure, and analysing and resolving complex customer queries with empathy and urgency.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills — able to build effective working relationships across teams, translate between technical and non-technical language, and influence decisions through collaboration and persuasion.
