- **Newly created opportunity with working with cutting-edge automation technology**
- **Hands on operational leadership role - develop, coach and mentor others**
- **Work within a high profile, customer focussed, state of the art operation
**About the opportunity**
As our Production Planner your role is critical in ensuring the efficient movement of products through the facility. The Production Planner is a high profile, 'mission critical' role leading a team of specialists planning, sequencing and controlling the preparation of orders for stores with the ultimate goal of ensuring that thousands of products are dispatched to stores on time, every day.

**You'll demonstrate your impact by**:

- Planning and monitoring workflows through the highly automated DC, optimising capacity, velocity, accuracy and efficiency.
- Overseeing and monitoring product flows, processing equipment and order completion progress, proactively identifying and coordinating actions necessary to maintain high levels of system performance and on-time order competition.
- Analysing and monitoring the flow of products and orders through the facility to identify areas for improvement, processes enhancement and optimisation.
- Identifying system performance trends, unplanned faults and/or performance or functional deviations and planning, initiating and coordinating appropriate response and recovery actions (short term) and continuous improvement initiatives (medium term).
- Provide leadership to a Flow Control team, and collaborate with colleges and other departments to drive continuous improvement in the timely and efficient flow of products and orders through the facility.

**About you**

You'll need to be a strong communicator, collaborator, and problem solver, with a focus on achieving results and continuous improvement. Ideally you would have experience in a similar level role within an automated distribution, order fulfilment, manufacturing or continuous processing environment and possess the following attributes.

Proven experience in an operations role, preferably in a fast-paced distribution centre or order fulfilment environment.
Proven experience in a role encompassing planning, process control or workflow control with a well developed capability to measure and monitor processes and process data/dashboards.
An excellent and confident communicator, stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
A capacity to operate in a dynamic, fast paced environment (ability to process and respond to unplanned events and changing data).
A deep understanding of safety protocols and risk management, with a commitment to ensuring that safety is embedded in all aspects of operations.
A track record of driving continuous improvement and delivering results in a complex, matrix environment.
Whilst the role is primarily focussed on day operations, given the nature of this DC there would be a requirement to be flexible on your start and finish times.
Exposure to SCADA systems would also be highly regarded
