Educational Leader – Out of School Hours Program

We are seeking an Educational Leader to coordinate our Out of School Hours Program (Before School, After School, and Vacation Care) at Mildura South Primary School. The role supports delivery of high-quality care and education for children, aligns with the Victorian Child Safe Standards and National Quality Framework, and ensures a safe and stimulating environment.
Role
To assist with the coordination of the Out of School Hours program in accordance with guidelines, accepted practice, and school policy. To support the service coordinator in maintaining high standards of care and education, supervise staff, uphold regulations, and act as the nominated supervisor and educational leader in the coordinator's absence.
Selection Criteria
1. Demonstrated ability to plan, implement, and evaluate engaging, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate high-quality childcare programs, including Out of School Hours Care and Vacation Care.
2. Ability to assist in leading a team of educators to deliver a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment for all children.
3. Relevant technical knowledge of Victorian Child Safe Standards, Education and Care Act and Regulations, National Quality Standards (NQS), and Framework for School Age Care in Australia (FSAC).
4. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain positive, respectful and collaborative relationships with children, families, school staff and external agencies.
5. Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and professional learning for self and others.
Responsibilities
* Assist with the planning and implementation of a high-quality educational program.
* Assist with the promotion of health and safety of all staff and children.
* Assist in leading the team to build positive relationships with all stakeholders.
* Contribute to the effective management of the service.
Qualifications
* Qualified or undertaking study in an ACECQA approved qualification.
* Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or Teachers Registration Card (VIT).
* Current First Aid Certificate Level 2.
* Experience with the childcare management system Xplor highly regarded.

Other Information
Shifts are flexible. Before School Care operates 6.45 am – 8.35 am; After School Care 3.15 pm – 6.00 pm during terms. Vacation Care and Student Free Days operate 8.00 am – 6.00 pm.
